VOLBEAT, DANKO JONES, BARONESS – Rewind Replay Rebound Tour O2 Apollo, Manchester 1st October 2019

VOLBEAT are on their Rewind, Replay, Rebound Tour and are supported by BARONESS and DANKO JONES.

Danko Jones are A Rock Supreme! Despite being a three piece, they will rip up any stage no matter the size and even at such an early stage time of 6:30pm.  I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve seen them thanks to how hard they tour. From small clubs to larger UK venues, to even larger outdoor arenas in Europe, a high intensity performance is always delivered.  Danko Jones actually changed my life in 2006, but that’s another story.  They’re a great fit for this tour and hopefully many Volbeat fans will have left this show as new admirers. The latest release, A Rock Supreme, is yet another solid album to add to their consistently fine discography.

Muddfest 2019 Puddle of Mudd/Saliva/Saving Abel/Tantric, Ace Cafe/Orlando, FL 22 September 2019

By Debbie Steir

With the afternoon Florida sun shining down upon us warming our skin and a beautiful tropical breeze to cool us just enough Muddfest 2019 came roaring into Orlando, like a runaway freight train on 22 September 2019 at Ace Cafe.  Performing on this tour are Tantric, Saving Abel, Trapt, Saliva and headliner Wes Scantlin with his new and greatly improved Puddle of Mudd (although this lineup is subject to change).  The show went off without a hitch, it was on time, and all four bands gave 150% of themselves.  Much to my disappointment, Trapt did not perform at this show but I guess we can’t always have everything.

What an honor to be given an opportunity to photograph the legendary Magma for two days! The band were back in Tokyo as part of their tour ‘50 ans après’. They performed an acoustic show on the first day and played a full-scale show on the second day. I witnessed their pure magic happening on stage.

Have you ever heard of Japanese heavy metal band Loudness? I was very happy to receive many preferable responses when I posted on my social media that I had a great opportunity to photograph the metal legends Loudness. My online friends from around the world, such as America, Europe, Asia actually commented and messaged me how cool Loudness were with excitement and they said they would love to see my photos. It was clear that they respected the band for sure. I’ve never met this kind of response to Japanese band.  I’m really proud of them and I imagined how hard it was to get such an international reputation.

Upon arrival of Manchester’s Rebellion Bar, word got around that the show had just sold the last of its tickets. Simply speaking, the concert was a sell-out mere hours before the venue opened its doors. With more expectations than ever, curiosity filled the air to see why Bloodywood were on the tip of their viewer’s tongues.

After quitting the New York Dolls in 1975 Johnny Thunders (guitar / vocals) and Jerry Nolan (drums) teamed up with Richard Hell to form the Heartbreakers, a second guitarist, Walter Lure, was added shortly after. Early 1976 saw Hell depart the band and the arrival of new bassist Billy Rath.
